Junior PR Manager

Hannah Burgess PR is an automotive-focused, London-based PR consultancy firm born from a belief that retainers shouldn’t be relied upon by agencies. As such, the company works with its clients on projects; some that run for weeks or months, some that are quarter to quarter, and some that are being planned years in advance.

It’s this anti-retainer ethos that Hannah Burgess PR believes makes the team more nimble, reactive, consistent, and hungry to break its clients through in the media, and key characteristics it’s looking for in a Junior PR Manager.

The team is more concerned with aptitude, attitude and allowing for the right candidate to grow rather than being focused on a person’s education or qualifications. However, the PR consultancy firm is first and foremost looking for the below tasks to be undertaken in the role:

  • Writing automotive-focused copy that suits its audience, whether it be a press release, blog, website, caption, Q&A or social media post
  • Selling in stories to media within automotive, business, engineering, finance, industrial, luxury lifestyle and mobility
  • Briefing photographers and videographers with what’s needed when, how, where and at what budget point
  • Providing input to client meetings as well as organising on-site meet and greets
  • Managing social media, PR and project management calendars
  • Uploading press releases, updating Prezly newsrooms, working with distribution suppliers
  • Supporting the team with time management applications, ensuring time is allocated and logged as well as chasing colleagues

Details/Requirements:

  • No particular education requirement
  • An interest in the automotive industry is desirable
  • Previous junior-level PR, marketing or communications experience
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Adobe Spark, Trello and image resizing
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Remote working possible, but primarily from offices in Battersea, London
  • Competitive salary depending on experience: circa. £21,000 - £25,000
  • MacBook Pro and latest iPhone included as well as great coffee and office environment
